A message from our Chief Executive
Everyone has been significantly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and we recognise that there will be much pain that has been caused over the last few months. Our sympathies go to those affected and we continue to stand ready to provide support wherever and however we can.
The Government has indicated that schools should start to welcome back more year groups as part of a process of relaxing lockdown procedures. Whilst all of our schools have remained open to children of key workers and other vulnerable children since lockdown was initiated in March 2020, this increasing in student numbers changes the way that we offer provision across our school sites.
Throughout the pandemic we have been open with you over our plans and the challenges that are faced. The situation is, as you will likely recognise, fluid, and changes frequently and other with short notice. This page will provide you with our latest plans and risk assessments.
I made three promises at the start of this lockdown, and they remain valid today:
- Safety comes first. We are a people organisation, and ensuring everyone’s safety will be our priority
- We will fully share our plans, and listen to your feedback and comments
- We will do what is right for our communities. Schools are a rich part of the fabric of our communities, and we serve you.
As promised, this page includes our plans, and our risk assessment for our wider opening. These plans have been shared with staff, trade unions and parents in advance of reopening. We keep them under constant review and will amend as necessary. If you have any queries please contact your Headteacher in the first instance.
